Poised and Awaiting
The contemporary art forms of drawing and ceramics often involve explorations of materials and the evolution of tensions and dialogues through their physical properties. The repeated interactions between the artist’s body and the materials, with time as an additional factor, seek to uncover the unknown beyond the cognitive.
Six young artists in this exhibition demonstrates an acute sensitivity in their chosen themes, which range from insects to everyday ephemera like foils, stickers, street ads, seeds, and even dust. Through diverse creative processes, their work conveys a sense of delicate lightness combined with a resilient strength.
