Arts for All——arts are for everyone

Hong Kong Arts Centre joins hands with Michelle Ling Allcock again and publishes A Penguin Named Pilar and Other Short Stories. Her publications have always celebrated the diversity of artistic creativity across generations and abilities. And this time, A Penguin Named Pilar and Other Short Stories is launched under the outbreak of the pandemic worldwide as millions if people are affected both physically and mentally. We hope that it could serve to give a positive impact to the readers.

This meaningful project was achieved with the support from The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, which coordinated the participation of art workshops by talented young people. They learned drawing and expressed the five messages of the five stories in this illustration book -  Faith, Altruism, Self-love, Treasure and Gratitude though their illustration. The exhibition will showcase the wonderful life stories told by their paintings.

Published by Hong Kong Arts Centre, the illustration books, A Penguin Named Pilar and Other Short Stories and Daisy Fairy and the Bear Series are available for sale at the Hong Kong Arts Centre Art Shop and online shop (hkacartshop.store).
