Sightlines is an ongoing collective project that started in 2016 as a response to the Umbrella Movement. Through conversation and image-making, the seven participants—Clara Cheung and Gum Cheng of C&G Artpartment, Lam Kin Choi, Lam Wing Sze, South Ho Siu Nam, Wei Leng Tay and Michelle Wong, reflect on how creative practices can inform each other, and how they can productively harness the energy from a moment of political rupture. Through this process, the group reflects on the position of politics in aesthetics and vice versa, while engaging with the changing socio-political context of Hong Kong.
