Prenez place et laissez la bande dessinée hongkongaise vous embarquer dans de folles histories.15 BD hongkongaises ont été publiées l'année dernière dans le cadre du premier programme de soutien à la bande dessinée de Hong Kong (HKCSP). Cette année, les BD hongkongaises vont être exposées au Festival. Parmi eux, sept artistes de Hong Kong se sont lancés dans ce voyage d'échange pour partager le pouvoir créatif et la fantaisie des dessinateurs de Hong Kong avec des dessinateurs/fans/éditeurs de divers pays !

A l’occasion du Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d’Angoulême, venez rencontrer les artistes de la Perle d’Orient, venus exceptionnellement en France !

Le Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base) et la Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation s'associent de nouveau pour faire rayonner le 9e Art hongkongais au-delà de ses frontières. Sous le parrainage du gouvernement de [Create Hong Kong] de la Région administrative spéciale de Hong Kong, nous présenterons 15 bandes dessinées originales de longueur moyenne/longue publiées dans le cadre du premier programme de soutien à la bande dessinée de Hong Kong (HKCSP) en janvier 2023. Encore une fois, ce sera une belle occasion pour les bandes dessinées hongkongaises de monter sur la scène internationale.15 titres, représentatifs de la riche créativité des auteurs et autrices de Hong Kong, seront présentés au 50ème Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême en France.

Depuis 2011, Le Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base) a accompagné à plusieurs reprises les artistes de BD au Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d’Angoulême et a créé des liens forts entre les artistes hongkongais et des maisons d'édition internationales, des festivals de bandes dessinées et d'autres organisations. Hong Kong sera aussi présent au Marché International des Droits du Festival pour faciliter les échanges avec les professionnels du monde entier et développer activement le droit international des 15 bandes dessinées publiées dans le cadre du programme de soutien à la bande dessinée de Hong Kong à l’international. 7 artistes hongkongais seront présents au Festival international de la bande dessinée d'Angoulême, et feront des performances en direct devant les festivaliers de Manga City (Cf annexe plus bas pour programme détaillé). A leur retour à Hong Kong, l’ensemble des auteurs et autrices participant à cette exposition culturelle partageront leurs expériences sur ce programme d'échange avec le public hongkongais. Les 15 bandes dessinées participantes sont publiées dans le cadre du programme de soutien à la bande dessinée de Hong Kong, qui vise à soutenir et à encourager les artistes de bande dessinée et les start-ups de Hong Kong à produire leurs propres bandes dessinées de création (bandes dessinées subventionnées).

Let Hong Kong comic books tell the stories! In miscellaneous drawing styles and with diverse genres, ‘made-in-Hong-Kong’ comics give global readers sheer delight of boundless fantasy, taking them on an enjoyable journey beyond their imaginations. To further promote Hong Kong comics, a special display of 15 Hong Kong original comic books published under the 1st HK Comics Support Programme (HKCSP) last year will be held in the annual French comics festival in January. Among them, 7 Hong Kong comics artists will embark on a valuable cultural exchange during the comics festival, showing creativity and imaginations of Hong Kong comics talents to comics artists/ fans/ publishers from different countries! Comics fans in Hong Kong can also follow comics artists’ social media platforms to stay up to date with their on-site activities and experiences in the festival every day. Join us and feel the zest of this comics grand gathering. In addition, audience can always their support to Hong Kong comics artists who will be staging drawing demonstrations through live video streaming. After returning from the visit, we will hold a press conference to allow participating comics artists to share their experiences and results in this cultural exchange programme with Hong Kong comics enthusiasts!

 

Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base) and Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation go into partnership again, with the sponsorship of  Create Hong Kong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, bringing 15 original mid/full-length comic books published under the 1st HKCSP to tap into a market outside Asia. These 15 fantastic titles will take part in the 50th Angouleme International Comics Festival held in France; they all together form a mosaic of unique facet of Hong Kong comics and showcase local creativity and infinite possibilities, so as to make an entry into Europe market and beyond! Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base) has been introducing Hong Kong comics to this legendary platform in the comics field many times since 2011, fostering the collaboration between local Hong Kong creators and overseas institutions like publishing companies and comics festivals. Another year of participation not only allows us to meet a large group of readers in the Asian comics pavilion but also set up a booth in the International Rights & Licensing Market. It is a great opportunity for us to connect with production houses of comic book and its extended art form across the world for the licensing to actively facilitate the development of Hong Kong comics. In addition, 7 Hong Kong comics artists who have published their comics books under the 1st HKCSP will visit the Angouleme International Comics Festival in person, bringing their secret skills into play in the live drawing demonstrations. They will also have the chance to meet different comics enthusiasts from all over the world. After returning from the visit, all the participating comics artists will share their experiences and results in this cultural exchange programme with Hong Kong comics fans at a press conference.

The participating 15 mid/full-length comic books are published under the 1st HKCSP, which is organised by the Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation (HKCAF) and sponsored by Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with an aim to support and cultivate Hong Kong local comics artists and comics start-ups to produce their own brand-new original comics.

Comix Home Base

Le Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) considère que la bande dessinée et l’animation revêtent d’une importance particulière en ce qui concerne la culture pop et la création artistique à Hong Kong. Il organise divers événements pour amener ces arts au plus près des publics locaux et internationaux.

Depuis 2006, HKAC a organisé le projet Comix Home Base (CHB), a accueilli plus de 700 événements liés à l'animation-BD, tels que des expositions, des conférences, des ateliers, des performances, des publications, des projections, des arts publics, etc. En dehors de Hong Kong, les empreintes de la bande dessinée de Hong Kong peuvent être trouvées à l'étranger en France, en Belgique, en Grande-Bretagne, en Allemagne, en Finlande, en Suède, au Japon, à Singapour, en Chine continentale, à Taïwan, en Corée du Sud, etc. collaborations dans l'édition de leurs bandes dessinées en langues étrangères en Europe. Tout cela a eu un impact sur la scène internationale de la bande dessinée et a contribué à rehausser le profil de la bande dessinée de Hong Kong à l'échelle internationale.

Le Hong Kong Arts Centre (CHB) poursuivra de manière proactive des opportunités de promouvoir les divers arts de la bande dessinée et de l'animation de Hong Kong, dans le but d'accroître la reconnaissance internationale et la sensibilisation des artistes de bande dessinée de Hong Kong et de leurs œuvres uniques.

Fédération de la bande dessinée et de l'animation de Hong Kong

La Fédération de la bande dessinée et de l'animation de Hong Kong a été fondée en 1999, avec pour objectifs :

  1. Unir l'industrie de la bande dessinée et de l'animation, promouvoir la culture de la bande dessinée et de l'animation;
  2. Renforcer la sensibilisation positive des membres de la communauté sur la bande dessinée et l'animation;
  3. Lien autour de l'industrie mondiale de la bande dessinée et de l'animation; et
  4. Nourrir les talents locaux de la bande dessinée et de l'animation.

Programme de soutien HK Comics

Le programme de soutien à la bande dessinée de Hong Kong (HKCSP) est organisé par la Fédération de la bande dessinée et de l'animation de Hong Kong (HKCAF) et est parrainé par Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) du gouvernement de la région administrative spéciale de Hong Kong. Le HKCSP soutient 15 start-ups de bandes dessinées locales sélectionnées avec une série d'activités, y compris la formation et les conseils d'experts de l'industrie, ainsi qu'une subvention maximale de 240 000 $ HK pour que chacune des start-ups de bandes dessinées sélectionnées produise ses propres nouvelles bandes dessinées originales (Bande dessinée subventionnée).

Une série d'activités promotionnelles ont également été menées, notamment l'exposition des start-up de la bande dessinée sélectionnées et de leurs bandes dessinées subventionnées à l'Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong (ACGHK) 2022 qui s'est tenue en juillet et la Comic Fiesta 2022 en Malaisie qui sera organisé en décembre, pour maximiser l'exposition de ces start-ups et de leurs bandes dessinées subventionnées sur les marchés locaux et étrangers, en vue de les aider à explorer davantage d'opportunités commerciales.

La Fédération de la bande dessinée et de l'animation de Hong Kong a lancé la 2ème édition au cours de laquelle 15 start-ups locales de la bande dessinée ont été sélectionnées par les juges. Les 15 nouvelles bandes dessinées subventionnées devrait être lancé à l'ACGHK 2023.

Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) believes that comics and animation are important local pop culture and artistic creations. The HKAC has been dedicated to planning and organising diverse and unique activities to promote the arts and culture of comics and animation to the local community and abroad.

Since 2006, HKAC curated Comix Home Base project (CHB), hosted over 700 ani-com-related events, such as exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances, publications, screenings, public arts, etc. Outside Hong Kong, the footprints of Hong Kong comics can be found in France, Belgium, Britain, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Japan, Singapore, Mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, etc. Through the uniquely planned programmes, several Hong Kong comics artists have got chances to initiate international collaborations in publishing their comics in foreign languages in Europe. These all made an impact on the international comics scene and help to raise the profile of Hong Kong comics internationally.

The HKAC (CHB) continues to proactively look for opportunities to promote Hong Kong's diverse comics and animation arts, with the aim of increasing international recognition and awareness of Hong Kong’s comics artists and their unique works.

HK Comics Support Programme

HK Comics Support Programme (HKCSP) is organised by the Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation (HKCAF) and is sponsored by Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The HKCSP supports 15 selected local comics start-ups with a series of activities, including training and guidance from industry experts, as well as a maximum subsidy of HK$210,000 for each of the selected comics start-up to produce its own brand-new original comics (subsidised comics).

In the 1st HKCSP, a series of promotional activities had also been conducted, including the exhibition of the selected comics start-ups and their subsidised comics at the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong (ACGHK) 2022 which was held in July and the Comic Fiesta 2022 in Malaysia which will be organised in December, to maximise the exposure of participating comics start-ups and their subsidised comics in the local and overseas markets, with a view to helping them explore more business opportunities.

The HKCAF has launched the 2nd HKCSP to provide support to another 15 local comics start-ups wereselected by the judges.  Their 15 brand-new subsidised comics are expected to be launched at the ACGHK 2023.
