Fifty years later, in Year 2069, when arts and literature are non-existent, the world is like a deep, muddy pond in which people are trapped in endless surveillance and control like helpless, vulnerable goldfish. Inside this darkness-filled dungeon, is there any room left for freedom, and is the pursuit of freedom ever meaningful? In this ‘Game of Life II’, is everything merely a game, or is it a lens through which we foresee our near future?
Hong Kong Arts Centre and Banana Effect, together with our special guests, Dr. Ian Fong Ho Yin and Prof. Hui Po Keung, will lead our audiences onto a path of societal exploration. Dr. Ian Fong will seek to answer the quest by taking our audiences to a walking tour on the streets and corners of Hong Kong, and Prof. Hui will hold a lecture in which questions and thoughts of the audiences will be responded, allowing room for in-depth self- and societal- reflection and discovery.
