Programme Officer / Senior Programme Officer (Audience Development) (Ref: PO/SPO-AD)


Job Duties

To work in the Audience Development Team under Programme Department by:

 

  • Planning, supporting and implementing HKAC education and public programmes, and other learning and experience programmes for different audience groups;
  • Liaising with and work closely with artists, curators, educators & academics to develop ideas of programmes and maintain network;
  • Conducting research and assist in ideas development about HKAC education and public programmes;
  • Contributing ideas, texts, and other materials for website and promotional channels in relation to public education and arts programming;
  • Performing other duties as assigned by direct supervisor

Requirements

  • A Bachelor degree in Art, Cultural Studies or other relevant discipline;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in art administration, planning and organising arts programmes;
  • Good project management, research, communication and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Possess good understanding of new technologies, including online and on-site digital platforms that facilitate discovery and learning of our programme offerings;
  • Creative, meticulous and with passion in contemporary art & art education

Corporate Communications Manager (Ref: CCM)


Job Duties

  • Branding Management
  • Identifies and capitalises on opportunities to promote and positively represent the organisation through internal and external communication
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for communicating on behalf of the organisation that represents the corporate identity, and promotes and supports the organisation’s mission

Business and Operations Manager (Ref: BOM)


Job Duties

  • Support the Executive Director to establish and define future vision, positioning and direction, funding management to budget for sufficient investment capital to achieve growth targets over the near term for HKAC
  • Partner with the Finance and Administration Director with budget & financial planning process
  • Work closely with outsourced property management company on tenancy related matters such as leasing strategy formulation, tenancy renewals and uphold tenant relationship
  • Oversee membership drive, including Individual and Corporate Membership, in order to support engagement and sustainable growth
  • Analyse the current revenue channels and recommend operations efficiency
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on developing business proposal
  • Support other business projects and ad hoc duties as assigned if necessary from time to time

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Organizational Management, or similar
  • At least seven years of experience in business improvement, project management or business development field

Senior Programme Officer / Programme Officer (Public Art) (Ref: SPO/PO-PA)


Job Duties

To work in the Public Art team under Programming Department by –

  1. Working closely with the Programme Manager in the research on the art, culture and humanities, developing proposals and be involved in the ideation process;
  1. Joining the team in supporting the public art initiatives including artist research, management, contracting and coordination with vendors;
  1. Liaising with community members and stakeholders in facilitating creative engagement and consolidating their life experience and insight in constantly informing the programming;
  1. Supporting and be part of cross team task force in cross-disciplinary programme such as Artist-In-Residence and Work-In-Progress laboratory and experiential showcase at HKAC.

Requirements

  2. Tertiary education in Arts and Cultural Management/Entrepreneurship/Urban Planning/Architecture/Social Science/Cultural Studies is welcomed;

Job Duties

  • Provide ushering and front of house service in theatres, assist in house rules and regulations enforcement
  • Perform effective communication with patrons, guests and venue hirers
  • Assist in crowd control to ensure smooth running of events and activities
  • Handle enquiries and provide high standard of customer services for venue visitors
  • Assist in facilities management for maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all venue users

Requirements

  • Holder of HKDSE or above with relevant experience in customer services is an advantage

Over the years, Hong Kong Arts Centre has offered opportunities to local and overseas university students to gain an exciting and fulfilling experience through our internship and volunteer schemes. Our internship programme provides an excellent opportunity for their students to explore their potential through hands-on work experience, gaining exposure to the different aspects in the operation of the Hong Kong Arts Centre. The learning experience is a stepping stone to a promising future in arts administration and arts education.

Are you art lovers? Do you have time to spare? Join the Hong Kong Arts Centre as a volunteer! Our volunteers come from a variety backgrounds, helping with events and programmes and providing administrative support to the Hong Kong Arts Centre. They are also trained to give docent tours. Volunteers can participate in various types of service, depending on their knowledge, interest and availability. No previous experience is required. Let us know your availability.
