Senior Finance Manager (Ref: SFM)


Job Duties

  • Oversee all financial functions including AP, AR, expenses review, financial reporting, cash flow management etc.
  • Ensure all financial transactions, month-end closing and reporting are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Drive annual budgetary process and compile financial budget.
  • Develop long-term and short-term budget plans.
  • Perform operational and costing analysis. Provide and develop analytical reports to keep track of funding and costing of each individual project.
  • Provide financial advice and financial modelling to management team in order to facilitate the decision making of different projects and business initiatives.
  • Liaise with external auditors and funding parties.
  • Review and formulate effective accounting policies, internal control system and workflows to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive the implementation of the new finance system and automation of other processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, highlight risks and identify opportunities to minimize the risks.
  • Coach and build the capabilities of the finance team.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Member of HKICPA or ACCA or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience with minimum 5 years in managerial level.
  • Big 4 accounting practices background will be an added advantage.
  • Strong business sense, proven management, analytical and leadership skills.
  • High level of initiative and resourcefulness.

Assistant Manager – Venue Operations (Ref: AMVO)


Job Duties

  • Respond to venue hirers’ enquiries and provide detailed information about available space, pricing and services.
  • Manage the booking process from initial enquiry to programme/event delivery including issuing agreement and payment processing.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including equipment hire, catering and security, and liaise with the internal teams to ensure all requirements are
  • Conduct site visits with hirers to show the venue and discuss event logistics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, provide exceptional service to increase customers’ loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Assist the Senior Manager to conduct venue hire research, develop venue hire strategy and offers as well as marketing and promotional activities to raise the profile of the venue and attract potential clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, event management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in venue hire or event management with at least 2-years in supervisor role; preferably with working experience in cultural venues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, multi-tasking and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and event management best practices is a definite advantage.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, particular on data analytics.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Applicants who have less experience will be considered for a senior officer position.

To work in the Public Art team under Programming Department by –

Job Duties

Internship Programme

Are you interested in gaining experience in the arts and creative industry? Over the years, Hong Kong Arts Centre has offered opportunities to local and overseas university students to gain an exciting and fulfilling experience through our internship and volunteer schemes. Our internship programme provides an excellent opportunity for their students to explore their potential through hands-on work experience, gaining exposure to the different aspects in the operation of the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Are you art lovers? Do you have time to spare? Join the Hong Kong Arts Centre as a volunteer! Our volunteers come from a variety backgrounds, helping with events and programmes and providing administrative support to the Hong Kong Arts Centre. They are also trained to give docent tours. Volunteers can participate in various types of service, depending on their knowledge, interest and availability. No previous experience is required. Let us know your availability.
