Senior Project Coordinator (Contract-based) [Ref No.: SPC]


Job Duties

The main duty of the post will be responsible for organising a series of comics and animation programmes including exhibition, talks etc. to be held by Hong Kong Arts Centre under the supervision of the Programme Manager.

 

  • To plan and monitor coordination, schedule and budget of the designated exhibition and related programmes;
  • To ensure coordination internally and externally to meet objectives of programmes;
  • To prepare promotion plan for the designated programmes;
  • To handle art administration work and prepare periodic reports;
  • To develop the network and constructive relationship with the participants in the licensing market; and
  • To manage the designated programmes in such a manner that helps to enhance arts appreciation and to strengthen the audience base for Hong Kong Arts Centre.

Requirements

  • University graduate with minimum 3 years of relevant and solid experience. Knowledge in local and overseas comics and animation development will be an advantage;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both Chinese and English. Putonghua will be an advantage;
  • Good interpersonal skills, well-organised and able to work independently;
  • Able to work under pressure with multi-tasking ability;
  • Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently, meticulous and well organized;
  • Proficiency in PC operations e.g. MS based applications, Chinese Word Processing;
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator software; and
  • Willing to work on shift or public holidays occasionally.

Job Duties

  1. Maintain smooth daily operation of the shop by supervising part-time Art Shop Assistants
  2. Offer quality sales service to all customers
  3. Handle visitors enquires and provide information for all venue visitors
  4. Perform sales transaction and inventory management
  5. Assist Programme Officer to co-ordinate workshop & other projects

 

Requirements

  1. Holder of HKDSE or above with minimum of 2 years of working experience in customer service, previous experience in working as lobby receptionist or retail sales is a definite advantage
  2. Outgoing, tactful, and have a friendly and helpful personality
  3. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, photoshop, Ai
  4. Ability to work independently, flexibly and under pressure
  5. Have good communication skills in Cantonese, English and Putonghua
  6. Non office hours work, need to work at weekends and public holidays
  7. Immediate availability is preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide ushering and front of house service in theatres, assist in house rules and regulations enforcement
  • Perform effective communication with patrons, guests and venue hirers
  • Assist in crowd control to ensure smooth running of events and activities
  • Handle enquiries and provide high standard of customer services for venue visitors
  • Assist in facilities management for maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all venue users
  • Update signage / poster/ publicity material for the public in the premises
  • Assist with other functions as instructed by Duty Manager

Requirements

  • Holder of HKDSE or above with relevant experience in customer services is an advantage
  • Pleasant, energetic, extrovert and willing to help customers
  • Good communication skills with proficiency in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Required to work on weekdays’ evenings as well as in weekends and public holidays

Administrative Officer / Assistant Administrative Officer (Academic Programme) (Ref: AOAP / AAOAP)


Job Duties

  • To provide administrative and logistic support to Academic Programme Administration Team, Academic Staff, and students;
  • To administer School programmes / courses (ie. academic award-bearing programmes);
  • To coordinate administrative tasks in relation to programme / course operation;
  • To handle programme / course enquiries - To provide operational support to School functions and events;
  • With work location mainly at the School’s Chai Wan Campus (at Youth Square).

Requirements

  • Degree Holder with preferably 3 years of working experience for the Administrative Officer position, and Degree Holder with preferably 1 year of working experience for the Assistant Administrative Officer position
  • Good communication and writing skills in English and Chinese, proficiency in PC operation
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, independent and have strong sense of responsibility
  • Interest in art or relevant experience in art-related or tertiary education field will be an advantage

The appointment is on one-year term, and is to be renewed subject to mutual agreements and operational needs.

Over the years, Hong Kong Arts Centre has offered opportunities to local and overseas university students to gain an exciting and fulfilling experience through our internship and volunteer schemes. Our internship programme provides an excellent opportunity for their students to explore their potential through hands-on work experience, gaining exposure to the different aspects in the operation of the Hong Kong Arts Centre. The learning experience is a stepping stone to a promising future in arts administration and arts education.

Are you art lovers? Do you have time to spare? Join the Hong Kong Arts Centre as a volunteer! Our volunteers come from a variety backgrounds, helping with events and programmes and providing administrative support to the Hong Kong Arts Centre. They are also trained to give docent tours. Volunteers can participate in various types of service, depending on their knowledge, interest and availability. No previous experience is required. Let us know your availability.
