Marketing and Communications Manager


Job Duties

  • Participate in the formulation of marketing and PR plans that in line with the organistaion's directions.

Senior Administrative Officer (Academic Admin Team of Hong Kong Art School)


Job Duties

  • Provide professional administrative interface between staff and students at Hong Kong Art School, an educational arm of Hong Kong Arts Centre, and deal efficiently with operational matters of the School and respond appropriately to student welfare issues.
  • Work closely with Programme Coordinator, supervisors and management team to support the daily operations and administration of the School academic programmes.
  • Mainly administer bachelor degree or higher diploma programmes and involve in other award-bearing programmes if needed.
  • Perform various administrative duties, including but not limited to maintaining student databases, preparing correspondence, managing event calendars etc.
  • Manage programmes' timetabling, assessment schedules, activities and venue booking on an ongoing basis.

Senior Programme Coordinator


Job Duties

Senior Human Resources Officer


Job Duties

Support all-rounded HR functions including talent acquisition, performance management, contract administration, compensation and benefits, HRIS implementation and management etc.

Assistant Manager, Fundraising and Development


Job Duties

  • Work closely with Executive Director and Development Committee to develop and grow HKAC fundraising programme.
  • Lead and manage all fundraising activities, explore new income streams, and keep improving existing fundraising operations' effectiveness.
  • Plan and execute large-scale event-based fundraising activities such as charity galas.

Programme Director


Job Duties

This position will report directly to the Executive Director of Hong Kong Arts Centre and work closely with the Arts Programming Committee.

  • Work with Executive Director to craft and develop long-term and short-term strategies that are aligned with the direction and mission of HKAC.
  • Lead the entire Programme Department. Plan and develop annual programmes that support the development objectives and growth of HKAC.
  • Ensure intellectual and curatorial rigour across programmes and build synergy across different art forms.
  • Form partnerships and lead funding applications with government departments and commercial entities. Manage the development of high-quality proposals.
  • Manage programme budget and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Lead the planning of the programme portfolio in order to strengthen the image of HKAC. 
  • Contribute to the development of internal and external communication materials to highlight impactful stories.
  • Coordinate research in programme context such as analysis of art trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with different teams to drive the development of the Programme Department.
  • Liaise, network and work with arts practitioners, both local and overseas.
  • Participate in regular committee meetings including the preparation of presentations and take follow-up actions. 
  • Work as part of the senior leadership team to shape and deliver the mission of HKAC and provide visible leadership extending across the wider organization.

Requirements

  • University Degree in related disciplines.
  • Sound and demonstrable knowledge in contemporary art. Experience in curation will be an advantage.

School Facilities Assistant (Full Time) (FT-SFA (NS))


Job Duties

Responsible for daily school operations, including:
1. setting up the classrooms in accordance with the teaching requirements provided by supervisor or lecturers.
2. supporting the equipment rental and classroom booking by students.
3. assisting in school operations e.g. maintain the cleanliness of the classrooms; ensuring the classrooms are being locked when not in use; updating and posting notices/memos on student notice boards; managing printing requests from students, etc.

Requirements

–    Work any 5.5 days from Monday to Sunday, with no less than 44 hours per week on shifting basis (Shift 1: 09:00-18:00; Shift 2: 14:30-23:00). Work location mainly at 3 campuses including Hong Kong Arts Centre at Wanchai, Shau Kei Wan Campus and Chai Wan Campus.
–    Possess junior secondary education level or above, preferably with related work experience.
–    Able to communicate in Cantonese and simple English both in speaking and writing to faciliate communications with teachers from overseas.

Internship Programme

Are you interested in gaining experience in the arts and creative industry? Over the years, Hong Kong Arts Centre has offered opportunities to local and overseas university students to gain an exciting and fulfilling experience through our internship and volunteer schemes. Our internship programme provides an excellent opportunity for their students to explore their potential through hands-on work experience, gaining exposure to the different aspects in the operation of the Hong Kong Arts Centre. The learning experience is a stepping stone to a promising future in arts administration and arts education.

Are you art lovers? Do you have time to spare? Join the Hong Kong Arts Centre as a volunteer! Our volunteers come from a variety backgrounds, helping with events and programmes and providing administrative support to the Hong Kong Arts Centre. They are also trained to give docent tours. Volunteers can participate in various types of service, depending on their knowledge, interest and availability. No previous experience is required. Let us know your availability.
