Hong Kong Art School Higher Diploma in Fine Art Graduate Showcase 2024 — ‘And Yet It Moves’
Titled 'And Yet It Moves', the Hong Kong Art School Higher Diploma in Fine Art Graduate Showcase 2024 will be hosted from 17 to 28 July at the School's Chai Wan Campus. Showcasing artworks of this year's graduating students in the four disciplines: Ceramics, Painting, Photography and Sculpture, the School invites the public to share the learning outcomes of the two-year studies of the graduating students.
The English title 'And Yet It Moves', a phrase by Galileo Galilei when forced to recant his belief in the earth moving around the sun, inspired graduating students that everything stays in motion, even if the world stops spinning. In echo with the Chinese title, graduating students see themselves as collectives of unique circles, that are unique as individuals, and pushes forward as a group.
