Organiser: Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base)
Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base) is now inviting exhibition proposals for the 2027 ‘Comix Pulse– Feel the Heartbeat of Tomorrow’s Comix’! We welcome creators to showcase the diverse facets of contemporary comics and illustration through this platform, guiding audiences into the world of comix art with unique visual narratives.
Comix Pulse has successfully brought together cross-generational creators to curate diverse exhibitions. Highlights include a collaborative exhibition pairing a new comic release by veteran artist Jerry Cho and writer Jacky Cai with art toys by cross-disciplinary creators; emerging illustrator Suet Yee's healing 'Mali' character illustrations and merchandise that translate emotions into comforting visual artworks; and an interactive exhibition by local art brand Play Play Plastic, blending the concepts of the Akashic Records and amusement parks.
Carrying forward this creative momentum, the 2027 Comix Pulse continues to focus on ’Unleashing Comics & Illustration Creativity, Exploring Cross-disciplinary Comix Creations.’ We encourage creators to present their unique artistic styles and messages—whether by launching brand-new works or hosting their very first solo exhibition. We look forward to seeing more creators unleash the infinite possibilities of comics and illustration, further expanding their artistic practice and strengthening their connection with the public.
Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base) now sincerely invites local creators to submit their exhibition proposals. Selected applicants will receive a venue rental waiver to hold their exhibition at the Comix Home Base (2/F, Hong Kong Arts Centre).
Additionally, they can curate various public engagement events, such as creator talks, workshops, and live drawing sessions. This is a rare opportunity to unveil your creative process and build deep dialogues. Join us and co-create the next chapter of comix aesthetics!
