Chinese flower button is a traditional handcraft, which not only can be applied as an elegant decoration on Cheongsam, but also can be trendy fashion accessories. Its production process includes a variety of techniques such as coiling, warping, sewing and weaving etc. It’s a unique, partial and ornamental artwork. In this workshop you will learn more about the traditional chinese flower button and make your own innovative Flower Button Charm.
About tutor:
Shirley Lee is a visual artist and art educator. Sewing, embroidery and wood crafting are often used in her artworks. She has completed the “Jockey Club ICH+ Innovative Heritage Education Programme”- Cheongsam Sewing Technique in 2019. Her artworks were exhibited at K11 and HKAC.
