【Hong Kong Arts Centre】 Hong Kong Comics and the Legendary Musée du Louvre Crossover

[Hong Kong Arts Centre] and the Musée du Louvre share the same belief that comics is an important art form. Base on this common notion, the two will collaborate for the first time in curating a comics book about the Louvre in 2017/18.

Li Chi-Tak, one of the most important comics artists in Hong Kong, is chosen as Hong Kong’s representative for this project. Li, after his solo exhibition arranged by the Hong Kong Arts Centre at the Angoulême International Comics Festival last year, has gained a lot of attention; and just after one year, he was invited by the Louvre and will participate in the project. Li visited the Louvre this May to get inspiration and to do research for the comics book. The Chinese version of the book is expected to be published in 2018, while a French version will follow shortly.
