Sleep Walk Sleep Talk
Open House & Art X Late Night Series 2022

25 June 2022
From Afternoon till Late   Walk between Dream and Reality

(25 May 2022, Hong Kong) Organised by the Hong Kong Arts Centre, “Sleep Walk Sleep Talk” Open House & Art X Late Night Series 2022 will be held on 25 June (Sat). From film screenings, dream interpretation experience, a Spoken Words Music and creative writing workshop and an aroma diffuser workshop, a series of programmes themed around dream and reality will be taking place at different corners of Hong Kong Arts Centre from day till night.

“Sleep Walk Sleep Talk” takes dreams and the actual experience of wandering in dreams as inspirations, inviting participants to open up their senses and bodies for different kinds of emotions. Two different screenings in daytime and at night of two German films that have “dream” as their common motif depicts opposite approaches towards the subject matter; Cleo (2019) is a bittersweet city adventure fantasy set in Berlin that leaps beyond the boundary of reality and dream, while Sleep (2020) is a modern fable of how the dark history of a haunted German town is unveiled by a series of nightmares. Other programmes include Spoken Words Music X Art X Series – Mumble Bumble, a music and writing workshop with dream talks as the theme; dream interpreter Monita’s one-on-one dream interpretation experience that bond dreamscape with reality; and a reed diffuser workshop which will lead to a night of good sleep with sweet dreams.

Tickets of the above programmes are now on sale on POPTICKET ticketing platform where a variety of package tickets are also available. Limited quota, first come first served.

Regular programmes of Hong Kong Arts Centre will also be open for public participation, including “Out of the Cube - Your Little & Big Feelings: Windmill Workshop - Explore Around with Your Five Senses”, “HKAC CREATORS FOR TOMORROW - Murmuring in a Glass Tube” and “Luis Chan Studio”.

About Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC)

Hong Kong Arts Centre - Art for Passion, Art for Life, Art for All

This year marks the 45th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Arts Centre.

Since 1977, the Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) has been a platform for nurturing and supporting artists, and infusing art into everyday life. Its unique arts and educational programmes aim to make the arts accessible for all. The HKAC believes in the transformational power of art for people from all walks of life. Established for more than four decades, the HKAC endeavours to bring arts to the people of Hong Kong – by presenting programmes for visual arts, performing arts, moving images and media arts, comics and animation. Our other areas also cover arts education, conferences, festivals, public art and community projects. All with the vision and mission of engaging and inspiring creativity in the Hong Kong community.

In 2000, HKAC founded its education arm, Hong Kong Art School (HKAS). The HKAS provides award-bearing programmes to nurture artists and art practitioners, as well as short enrichment courses for the general public. The HKAC aspires to engage everyone in the community to become an active participant in the arts – as an enthusiast, an artist or a patron.

Let’s continue to embrace ‘Art for Passion, Art for Life, Art for All’, and share the inspiration.
