Presented by Hong Kong Arts Centre, Playwright’s Studio serves as an open experimental platform for playwrights to refine their creations, which would later be infiltrated with interpretation from directors and actors, not to mention the interaction with the audience. Playwright’s Studio sparks a new collaborative model in theatre, bringing playwrights from “inside the workshop” to “outside the house”.

《Men in the Bathhouse》Playwright: Jason Chak-ming Lam l Director: Chan Pui Lam Chu Kai Hin
Introduction:
A group of old boys are having their “mancation” in Japan. Set in the changing room of a hot spring hotel, while three of them are undressing and getting ready to enjoy their bath, they are informed of an old friend’s life decision. Astonished, they start the discussion of whether they should stop their friend from making such a choice. As the debate gets heated, conversations in the bathhouse get turned into mockery, shaming and humiliation stripping off their masculinity and exposing men's bare fragility.
