About the Exhibition
Wah Kee's all-new solo exhibition centres around his latest comics, The Ghetto Exorcist, while showcasing the dark comedy universe he has built over the years, including his precious hand-drawn original cover artworks. Between the stark black-and-white lines, ghosts and monsters are no longer mere embodiments of fear, but reflections of modern people struggling through hardship and laughing off an absurd reality. This is a contemporary visual feast of survival, the supernatural, and dark humour.
Following the critically acclaimed My Soul Mate, his new comics, The Ghetto Exorcist, received the Special Mention Award at Hong Kong Comics Support Programme (HKCSP), earning high praise from the professional panel once again. We warmly invite all comic fans and dark comedy lovers to join us and experience this fantastical visual journey!
About The Ghetto Exorcist
When the old building where impoverished courier Ng Po rents a flat completely collapses, he is forced to move into a haunted house in the dead of night. There, he crosses paths with Tung Kau, an exorcist tasked with cleansing the building's vengeful spirits, as well as Wong Kam-hop, a livestreamer taking on a haunted house stay challenge.
A wild brawl erupts among a slacker, an exorcist, a livestreamer, and a century-old demon! Over the course of one crazy night, a legendary exorcist is about to be born.
