About the Exhibition
Presented by Hong Kong Arts Centre’ Cross-disciplinary Artful Experiences, discovering the creative voices of Hong Kong’s community at Imagination Across Generations Summer Art Exhibition — a unique exhibition presenting works by local children, elders, and ethnic minority youth who took part in our inclusive summer programmes. Each artwork, whether sculpted, painted, or created on an iPad, is a testament to the imagination found in everyday life.

Speak in Colours: Painting Workshop for Ethnic Minority Youth
Young people from ethnic minority backgrounds, each with their own cultural heritage, pour their experiences of growth, memory, and dreams onto canvas through bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours. These artworks not only convey heartfelt emotion but also reflect the diversity of life in their communities. Each painting offers a unique perspective on the city and the wider world, inviting audiences to discover authentic stories shaped by multicultural experiences.

This exhibition welcomes visitors of all backgrounds and artistic experience. Be inspired by imagination that spans generations.

Through hands-on engagement with clay, people of all ages experimented with three-dimensional form using touch, collaboration, and imagination. This sensory approach encouraged creative thinking beyond sight alone, allowing participants to discover how ideas take shape through tactile perception and shared exploration.
