Hong Kong Arts Centre Unveils Collect Hong Kong Art Fair 2026

The opening ceremony of Collect Hong Kong Art Fair 2026 was held in splendid style! Over 200 artists, distinguished guests, representatives from art institutions and media gathered at Hong Kong Arts Centre to witness the grand launch of this major annual art highlight – and the venue was buzzing!
 
Mr Raistlin Lau-chun, Under Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, HKSAR; Hon. Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council; and Mr Peter Lau, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hong Kong Arts Centre, were among the distinguished guests who attended and officiated at the opening ceremony.
 
Mr Peter Lau expressed his hope to promote art appreciation and collection culture, expand the local art collector community, refine the art ecosystem, and establish a healthy and sustainable environment for development. "Collect Hong Kong" has received strong support from government departments and arts institutions. Mr Raistlin Lau Chun, Under Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Hon. Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, jointly affirmed the significance of Collect Hong Kong Art Fair to the development of local art. Through diverse exchange activities, the fair fosters interaction among artists, collectors and the public, enhancing interest in art collecting and injecting depth and vitality into Hong Kong's art scene.
 
Renowned artists including Lui Chun Kwong, Victor Tai, Eddie Lui, Simon Yim, together with gallery representatives(Leo Gallery) and collectors, were also in attendance to support local art scene.
This year’s event features over 500 artworks spanning painting, ceramics, photography, sculpture, installation and mixed media by 280 local artists – a compelling demonstration of the diversity, vitality and boundless potential of Hong Kong’s art scene.
