Discover the Art of Connection: Junior Docents Programme Making Waves at Hong Kong Arts Centre Flagship Exhibition 2027
Art comes alive when shared through young voices. The Hong Kong Arts Centre’s Junior Docent Programme returns, this time for our prestigious Flagship Exhibition “Duos” – where art meets collaboration, and young minds meet creative brilliance.
In this flagship exhibition curated by Prof. Janet Fong Man-yee, seven renowned Asian artists and collectives come together to create works through dialogue and collaboration in response to HKAC’s iconic architecture. Now, we invite young art enthusiasts to become part of this creative conversation.
Led by experienced docent educators, our Junior Docents will:

Discover how collaborative art-making transforms spaces and ideas within Hong Kong Arts Centre's iconic architecture

Learn about exhibition curation, art appreciation and presentation techniques in a supportive, interactive setting

Learn professional docent techniques while developing their own interpretative voice

Go behind the scenes to understand curatorial vision and exhibition design

Present their insights to VIPs, art professionals and the public at the exhibition opening
This programme offers young participants a special opportunity to take part in the Opening Ceremony, where they may present their insights to distinguished guests and the public — stepping into the spotlight as young ambassadors of artistic dialogue and cultural exchange.

Eligibility: Students who will be in Primary 4 to 6 in September 2026

Format: Approximately 15 hours of training

Language: Delivered in Cantonese, with bilingual material
