Tutor
Cynthia Cheng
Cynthia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the Department of Visual Art (Craft and Design) at Hong Kong Baptist University. She is now an artist, illustrator and graphic designer who also works with schools and organisations on art educational work such as designing and teaching courses.
Cynthia focuses on painting, illustration and graphic design that include digital illustration and acrylic painting on mirrors. Her work revolves around her emotions, often beginning from some problem and situation - which is then presented with interestingly imagined spaces and illustrator characters. She enjoys exploring topics about society, relationships, human behaviour and the human psyche. She believes that thinking and experimenting in artistic creation is a way of understanding, exploring and breaking through herself. In the same vein, she hopes that her work can positively influence and create a space for thinking in people and society.
Cynthia has participated in various exhibitions and fairs including Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong (2024) and Art Central (2023/2024).
