Hong Kong Art School Appoints Professor Mak Chan Shuk Yin Barley as School Director
Hong Kong Arts Centre is delighted to announce the official appointment of Professor Barley Mak as the School Director of Hong Kong Art School with immediate effect. This appointment follows an extensive and competitive search, which confirmed Professor Mak’s exceptional vision and leadership as the clear and unanimous choice of the recruitment committee.
Professor Mak has served as the Acting School Director since 5 July 2025 and has provided exemplary leadership during the interim period. In that role, Professor Mak has demonstrated a profound commitment to academic excellence, school development and students journey/success as well as to foster an inclusive, supportive and encouraging environment for all.
