HKAC Open House 2024

The Hong Kong Arts Centre Open House was smoothly held on 30 March. We presented a rich and diverse range of arts and cultural activities to the public in the HKAC’s building, receiving overwhelming responses.
RE: Tai Kok Tsui ‘Community Co-Creation Laboratory’ - ‘Community Editorial and Writing Workshop’
Vol.30
Through workshops, members learned journalism skills and transformed into community reporters to observe and interview the people and things in the Tai Kok Tsui district. Together, they created the publication ‘Ten Cents Paper Zine’ to explore and document stories of the changing urban area through their writings.

HKAC Junior Docents presented interactive guided tours at the Cultural Partners Concourse of Art Basel Hong Kong 2024, successfully providing visitors with a unique and fresh perspective on the exhibition.
A Mind-friendly Estate Model at Cho Yiu Chuen: Artist-in-residency Programme – Happy Transformation

HKAS alumnus and artist Benjamin Hao gathered with local residents in the Estate newspaper stall, used recycled newspapers to create paper pulp sculptures, to encourage an open-hearted sharing of daily little worries and stress-relieving tips.

The third mural of the project has started! The creative duo, Carol Mui and Rebecca T. Lin, leads students and residents to join hands in illustrating their vibrant stories and experiences, from past and present.

Our latest collaboration with ODLarp was highly acclaimed for its immersive and exciting LARP Game. By utilizing the spaces of the Hong Kong Arts Centre, players were able to experience a one-of-a-kind evening adventure.
