Art is not only confined to fine art but encompasses a wide array of creative expressions. The Hong Kong Arts Centre Junior Docent programme offers a fresh and alternative way for children and youths to learn and appreciate art. Led by award-winning art educators and experienced art docents, our Junior Docents will learn various aspects of art, including the history and background of artworks, art exhibition curation, and the process of art appreciation through Visual Thinking Strategies. They will also gain insights into the concept of art exhibition curation, artistic language, and presentation.
The Junior Docent programme also provides an exceptional platform for participants to gain valuable exposure to the art world. They will have a chance to go behind the scenes and get a sneak peek into the inner workings of art events. Additionally, they will participate in global art events, meet curators, interact with artists, and even present their knowledge and insights to VIPs and Government Officials.
