ALL ABOUT US is a creative filmmaking project for ethnic minorities in Hong Kong since 2009. Organised by the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the project provides free filmmaking education for local ethnic minority youths. Through training camps and filming activities, participants are encouraged to express their unique narratives through the art of moving images, with over 600 individuals having embraced this transformative experience.
Since its inception, the initiative has produced countless short films crafted by individuals from minority communities, engaging over 600 youth from these backgrounds in Hong Kong. It proudly received the prestigious Arts Education (Non-school Division) at the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2013.
By 2021, it launched the inaugural ALL ABOUT US Film Festival showcasing both local and international works through the lens of minority perspectives. This Festival not only featured community screenings but also transcended barriers of race, geography, language, and gender, inviting audiences to embrace a rich tapestry of diverse voices.
